Jo answers a TON of questions about Deathly Hallows and the Potter-verse. Insanely spoilery if you haven’t finished HP7 yet.

Monday again…

mid-afternoon | Filed Under: Personal stuff, Stuff I'm obsessed with

Despite the fact that I got quite a few nice surprises today, I’m still feeling very blah. I guess I’m still in Weekend Mode, because I just can’t seem to get motivated to do any work. But let’s start with the surprises:

First I found out that one of my photos is being included on this travel guide website. I have photo of the Orlando Museum of Art that was in my flickr account, which was how they found out. See, check it out! I even get a photo credit with my full name like a professional photographer. :bananadance:

Secondly, I was checking my stats and found that my portfolio has been listed on Daily Slurp as one the Beautiful Sites of the Day.

So really, both of those things should be enough to make my day, but I just can’t seem to get rid of the blahs. I finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows for the second time last night and I know I said in my last post that I wasn’t depressed that it was over, but I think I am now.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (NO SPOILERS)

July 23, 2007 around lunchtime | Filed Under: Personal stuff, Stuff I'm obsessed with

So, it’s over. I finished it last night at about 1am. I’ve been on a media blackout since about Thursday, so I wanted to get it done with this weekend so I could get back on the damn internet.

Freaking UPS took their sweet time delivering it on Saturday. I actually wound up sleeping on the sofa Friday night because I was absolutely petrified that UPS would come while I was asleep and I wouldn’t get my book. But of course, they didn’t deliver it until 4 freaking 30 in the afternoon. I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I should have just waited in line at midnight with the rest of the world. Oh well.

Apparently, I’m a slow reader because I’ve been reading other people’s blogs and comments who got through it in 7-12 hours, but it took me more like 20. Still though, I feel like I read it too fast and I’m going to re-read it this week at a much slower pace.

It really was the perfect weekend. It rained really hard all Saturday and Sunday, and I always just want to curl up with a good book when it’s like that outside. It was fantastic. Poor Brandon was bored out of his mind because I literally said about 5 words to him the whole time. I made up for it a little bit by stopping about 200 pages from the end (because I knew I wouldn’t be able to stop any time after that) and making him dinner, but then I went right back to reading.

Final thoughts ([tag]no spoilers[/tag]!)…

The Buffy Musical

July 11, 2007 mid-afternoon | Filed Under: Miniblog

Okay, this is the coolest thing ever or conversely, the geekiest thing ever. I don’t care, I love Once More, With Feeling and when they come to Orlando this fall, I will SO be there. I just wonder how much I am going to have to pay my boyfriend to go with me…

Maybe I should stop watching the Dead Zone?

mid-afternoon | Filed Under: Personal stuff

Not to make light of this horrible situation but I think I may be psychic. Monday night I had horrible time getting to sleep and didn’t fall asleep until after 5am. About 3 hours later my eyes shot open and I was consumed by the thought that a plane was about to crash down on top of my apartment. I swear I could even hear the sound of the engine of the plane I imagined was making a nosedive toward my safe bed.

After calming the fuck down I realized that it was just a pressure washer or a lawn mower or something the ground crew were using behind my apartment. But still, I could not get past that feeling. A plane crashing into my house is about number 4 on my list of irrational fears (right behind being inside a plane that crashes into someone’s house).

I couldn’t get back to sleep, despite how exhausted my body was my mind was racing and I couldn’t shut it off, so I got up to watch some TV. The first thing I see is a shot of smoldering homes and the caption “Plane crashes into homes in Sanford, FL”. DUDE. Just…DUDE. WTF? So much for it being an irrational fear.

Sanford is about, maybe, 15 minutes from where I live and I woke at almost the exact time the plane crashed, so I don’t know…maybe that was the sound of the plane I was hearing. They said it was a small plane, so I doubt it, but still, the whole thing freaked me out.

I don’t know what to make of this. Psychic ability, intuition, or total coincidence? It’s all very bizarre.
