Three in one

August 21, 2007 in the early afternoon | Filed Under: Personal stuff, Randomicity

I have about 3 posts that I’ve started in the past few weeks, but then I’ll reread them and think: Wow, that’s boring and then I don’t wind up posting anything. So I’ve decided to just make one post with the highlights of all three instead. Hopefully, that will be less boring instead of three times the boring.

I have been posting in my photoblog more regularly. I discovered the macro setting on my camera (Way to read the manual, huh?) and I love it. Plus I found a tree outside my apartment with a family of lizards living in it. Seriously, there are two babies and a mom and dad. It’s the cutest thing EVER. I’ve put up pics of the mom and dad, but the babies were way too small to get a good shot of.

I’m a rollerblader now. Thing is, I SUCK at rollerblading. I never learned how, despite the fact that I begged my dad to buy me a pair in high school. I put them on, I fell down and then I put them in my closet and never tried again. If you can’t tell, I don’t really have the patience for learning new things. If I don’t get it on the first try I usually give up. So it’s been hard because I’ve been out 3 or 4 times and still don’t really have the hang of it.

Of cats and concerts

just before lunchtime | Filed Under: Pet stuff, Stuff I'm obsessed with, The outside world

So my new kitty as cute as he is…he’s kind of terror. My boyfriend and I went out of town yesterday and stayed the night. We weren’t even gone a total of 24 hours, but we got back this morning and the cat had gotten a hold of a roll of toilet paper and shredded the entire thing. All over the living room. Then when that was taken care of, he jumped up on the kitchen counter and found the roll of paper towels and proceeded to shred that as well. It looked like it had snowed in our apartment while we were gone. GRR. But when he’s not shredding paper or scratching my wood furniture, he becomes the cutest, most cuddly, most nuzzling-your-face cat ever. How can you be mad at that!

Anyway, so the reason we went out of town was for a [tag]concert[/tag] in [tag]Tampa[/tag]. It was [tag]John Mayer[/tag] with [tag]Ben Folds[/tag]. Pretty much my definition of Most Awesome Concert Ever as they are both my favorites. I didn’t get tickets until they had already been on sale for a month, so we didn’t have the best seats (though they weren’t nosebleed either). In fact I wasn’t even going to get tickets when I thought it was just John Mayer, but when I saw Ben was going to be there, too, I knew I had to get the tickets no matter what.
