Relationship stuff, The Days of my Life
As if we weren’t busy enough today with the 80 billion things we need to do before we leave tomorrow, my boyfriend was called in for a job interview. Well, it was actually more like a pre-interview. The real interview is on the 26th but for some reason they wanted to talk to him today as well.
I went with him because the interview was in an unfamiliar part of town and he has about the worst sense of direction of anyone I’ve ever met. The awesome thing was that the building the interview was in was right in front of this giant park/lake in the middle of the downtown area. So I took my camera and walked around the park taking pictures while he was in the interview. It was FANTASTIC. The lake was beautiful. There were TONS of birds and pretty trees and plants, but since it’s also in the middle of downtown I got a bunch of “urban” kind of pictures as well. I shot almost 200 photos in about an hour and I’m REALLY happy with more than half of them. I’m usually only happy with a few of my photos, so this was a big day for me. I posted one of my favorites on my photoblog already. I’ll post more when I get back from our trip.
Anyway, the job is looking promising. We’d have to move to a new city and that city is, unfortunately, still in Florida, but it’s northern Florida, which is at least the direction I would like to be going in. Plus the money would be REALLY good. We could actually start making a dent in our massive debt (which is mostly student loans).
The crazy thing is that they have to hire before the end of the year and would want him to start ASAP, so that means we could possibly be moving in as little as a month from now! None of this is set in stone of course, but the pre-interview went well and they were impressed. If they offered the right salary and would help with moving expenses I don’t think there’s any reason my boyfriend could refuse the job.
We’re going to drive up to the new city for the real interview on the 26th and scope out the area for apartments while we’re there. I’ve only seen the city from the interstate, so it’ll be interesting to see what it’s really like.
Anyway, I don’t have time to think about this anymore. I have to go clean our the car and do the laundry and pack and about a million more things (all on the 3 hours of sleep I got last night). Ugh. At least I had a fun morning.
