February 18, 2008 | | The Days of my Life

All I want to do on rainy days are curl up on the sofa and watch movies. But no, I have tons of work to do, so that is not to be. Wah.

This weekend was nice, though. We went down to the beach on Saturday. I really am liking this apartment more and more, it turns out we’re only about 10 or 15 minutes away! I’m not really a beach person in that I don’t care for swimming or tanning or anything like that, but I like walking and watching and relaxing. Plus taking pictures! Unfortunately, even though it was very nice day (sunny, cool but not cold), clear skies do not make for the most visually interesting photos. I got a few good ones, I guess. I’ll definitely be going back regularly. One day I really want to go there and watch the sun rise, but of course that involves getting up at butt early in the morning, so who knows when I will make that effort.

I took the plunge and ordered my iPod! I got an armband holder thingy for it, so I can listen to it while I work out (the main reason I wanted the iPod to begin with). I think music will make that awful bike machine infinitely better.

I just have to remember to hide the headphones because my cat, Dewey, has taken to eating the cords. I wish I were kidding. He’s eaten through 3 or 4 headphone cords for Brandon’s MP3 player and he almost ate through a cord for one of our Rockband guitar controllers (we stopped him in time, thankfully). You’d think Brandon would learn not to leave them out anymore, but no, Dewey ate through another pair just last week.

Now, if only my iPod would get here right this second I’d be happy. I think I’ll go check the mail again…

Update: Crap! It’s a holiday. No mail for me.
